From wildlife live streams to the iconic Windows XP Bliss wallpaper, and even the afterlife of animals on the internet, nature is just a click away. Overly saturated and in full HD, or pixelated and buffering, these representations of nature invite new interpretations. Networked image culture brings us closer to distant landscapes while simultaneously creating new gaps to be bridged. More than mere found footage of pristine wilderness, the nature image is socially and technologically constructed. Combining artistic and discursive perspectives, this experience lets you encounter nature safely from behind your computer screen.
