Marijn Bril (she/her) is an independent curator and researcher based in Rotterdam. In her practice, she examines the entanglements of art, media, and technology. Through exhibitions, discursive programs, essays, and lectures, she explores topics such as systems, productivity, memes, artistic strategies, and knowledge production. 

Bril has collaborated with institutions including IMPAKT (Utrecht),  iii (The Hague), MU (Eindhoven), Air Berlin Alexanderplatz (Berlin), CIVA Festival (Vienna), imai (Düsseldorf), ZKM (Karlsruhe) and The Wrong Biennale (online). Her talks and writings have been featured by platforms such as Mister Motley, Archined, VIEW Journal, V2_, iMAL, and the Institute of Network Cultures. In 2025, she received the Garage Rotterdam Prize for Young Curators.

Alongside her curatorial work, she serves as an advisor for Creative Industries Fund NL, Stichting Cultuur Eindhoven, CBK Rotterdam, and CIIIC.

Bril obtained an Erasmus Mundus Joint Excellence Master’s degree in Media Arts Cultures (Universities of Krems, Aalborg, and Łódź), where she wrote her thesis about curatorial research and knowledge production. Before that, she completed a pre-master in Media Studies (Maastricht University) and a Bachelor of Arts (Design Academy Eindhoven).
